【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationprovidesdesignandconstructioncriteriaforaraised,bolted,oiltight,andwatertightmanholecoverassembly.1.2Themanholecoverassembliesdepictedinthisspecificationareforuseindecksorbulkheadsinwhichthemanholecoverassembliesmustbeoftheraisedtype.Manholecovershallbecompletewithcoaming,gasket,weldedstudsorbolts,washers,andnuts.1.3Determinationoftheuseofhandleswillbeasspecifiedintheorderinginformation.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisspecificationisnotapplicabletocertainhazardouscargos(seeSection46CFR153.254and46CFR154.340).1.6Thisspecificationprovidesdesignandconstructionformanholecoverassembliessubjectedtolateralpressuressuchasresultingfromvehicleloadsorhydrostaticpressures.Wheremanholecoverassembliesaresubjectedtoprimaryorcyclicloads,otherreinforcementorconstructioncriteriamaybenecessarytointegratethemanholeassemblywiththerequiredstructuralreinforcementforopeningsindecksorbulkheads.Designofthemanholecoverassemblyforprimaryorcyclicloadsisbeyondthescopeofthisspecification.
